Hi Lynn

Thank you for filling in the survey for me.

Oh that would be perfect if you could ask your other members the questions attached. Is your textile group run by yourselves or the council/another club?

If you have any problems, let me know.

The information you give me will be used in support of my work and may be written up in my project/dissertation.  Anything you say will be treated with the strictest confidence and your contribution to the discussion will not be attributed to you as an individual,  what you said will be used for illustration only; to reinforce a point that I am making.

Thank you so much!

Georgina x

Hi Georgina,
Sorry for the delay.  Yes, gave the questionnaires to members who were at the meeting on Saturday.  We are a small textile group that has been established for over 20 years.  We have also staged over 20 exhibitions of new work over those years. We are completely self supporting.  There are seven of us and principally we work in textiles but not only embroidery…disciplines include weaving, felting, embroidery, quilting, papermaking, printing fabric – all pieces made are one-offs.  Three of us also produce artwork pieces for our exhibitions.  We meet once a month at the National Centre for Craft and Design in Sleaford.
There’s just one questionnaire to come back from a member who wanted it electronically and I haven’t approached the 7th member as she’s taking a back seat this yearwhilst she completes the final year of her degree at Nottingham University!
Hope the attachments come through okay.  If not, I’ll have to send one at a time.
 Hope this helps.
 Love,
 Lynn

You're very welcome.  As the group members are always interested in upcycling.  We very often collect from shops old fabric swatch books of discontinued fabrics and upcycle the fabrics to make bags and all sort of other things, some fabrics go to free community classes as well.  Saves the shop paying out for industrial waste and helps reduce landfill too!  And we get a challenge into the bargain which we always enjoy.
Cheers,
Lynn
